The person behind Aspire
Hi, I'm Caroline Helgesson, founder of Aspire Consulting.
I started Aspire on a simple conviction: organizations don't transform because of new strategies or new systems. They transform when people change how they work together. Most change programs fail not because the plan was wrong, but because the human side was treated as an afterthought. I've made it my profession to treat it as the main gear.
I work as an independent change and transformation consultant, helping organizations through the moments when technology, structure, and culture all have to move at once. That can mean integrating two companies after a merger, preparing a leadership team for a new operating model, or leading a full-scale transformation program from procurement to adoption. thinking meets thoughtful execution.
My path here spans 25 years and three cities. I started in London in 2000, fresh from a BA (Hons) in Business Communication where I'd written my dissertation on boo.com, the dot-com era's most spectacular lesson in what happens when ambition outruns execution. I've been fascinated by how organizations handle disruption ever since. My early career took me through London's digital agencies, then to Stockholm, where as a partner in a medtech company I helped transform an entire X-ray industry going digital, won major public tenders including Karolinska, and learned procurement from the inside.
From there: brand and design leadership for ICA and Procordia, then New York, where I worked as a senior innovation strategist with Bayer, Kellogg's, and other global brands, and later guided leadership teams at Condé Nast and Aller Media through digital disruption as Global Partnership Director at Hyper Island. Back in Sweden, I've led end-to-end transformations in healthcare, taken the automotive platform Wayke from idea to launch in under a year, and led M&A cultural integrations where two companies had to become one.
Twenty-five years across industries and continents taught me the two skills I rely on most: reading a culture quickly, and translating between the boardroom and the people who have to live with the boardroom's decisions.
I hold a BA (Hons) in Business Communication from the London College of Communication, I'm a certified SAFe Agilist and a certified board member through StyrelseAkademien, and I've trained in leadership through UGL with the Swedish Armed Forces. Lately, I've added AI to the toolbox, advising organizations on AI roadmaps and leading AI transformation projects, because the next decade of change management will be inseparable from it.
How I work
I'm hands-on. I don't deliver a slide deck and leave; I stay through implementation, because that's where transformations are won or lost. I work at both altitudes: senior stakeholder management, procurement, and governance on one level, and workshops, communication, and engagement on the other. Clients tend to bring me in when the change is too important to delegate to a framework.
I work in Swedish and English, from Stockholm and wherever the work takes me.
If you're facing a transformation where culture and technology need to move together, let's talk.
